Vesselin Topalov won tournament in London

Bulgarian grand master Vesselin Topalov won the first tournament from the FIDE Grand Prix chain in London. Topalov defeated with the blacks Anish Giri, Holland in the 52nd move of a party from the last 11th round. In this way Vesselin Topalov who was placed under # 4 with Elo rating of 2752, headed the final rating with 7 points and with the highest supplementary factor after three victories and eight draws. Second, also with 7 points, is world vice-champion Boris Gelfand, Israel. Topalov snatched EUR 25 thousand from the overall award fund of EUR 240 000.
