Plovdiv will be hosting the 4th edition of the French Song Contest (June 19th-23rd) organized by Alliance Francais. The legendary singer George Moustaki, who wrote lyrics for Edit Piaf, is expected to take part in the Gala concert, June 23rd.
150 singers from 19 countries are going to take part in the contest. All concerts will be at Pavilion 6 of the Plovdiv International Fair. Songs in various styles – chansons, rock, hip-hop, jazz, rap, swing and even classical music pieces. The event will be transmitted on the French channel “Canal 5”. Entrance fee is 2 BGN.
