It is going to be erected on the territory of the Rhodope Municipality, based on an investment of 100 million BGN by the Damakon Bulgarian-German Association. The final decision still depends mostly on the availability of the raw material necessary ? coleseed, sunflower seed and other oleaginous plants.
The need for bio-diesel grows all over the world. In Germany, for instance, it costs less than the petrol-diesel and is sold at more than 2000 filling stations. The bio-fuels are suitable for the diesel engines and are also ecologically friendly and therefore there is no excise duty imposed as with the petrol-fuels.
