Anniversary of the birth of Tsvetan Radoslavov

Tsvetan Radoslavov Gadjidenkov was the author of the lyrics of Bulgarian national anthem. He was born in 1863 in the town of Svishtov, on the Danube River. He worked as a teacher - he had graduated from the Leipzig University in Germany. He was an eminent scientist as well.

He also composed the first version of the Gorda Stara Planina song, that later in 1964 turned into a national anthem, but in 1905 the music was adapted by the eminent composer Dobri Hristov.

Tsvetan Radoslavov died in 1931.
