We are proud that it was Plovdiv who gave birth to the ?Green Balkans? movement, back in 1988, which today is the largest Bulgarian environmental organization. It combines the efforts of over 4000 members and 280 active volunteers in preservation of the environment on the Balkan Peninsula, and Bulgaria in particular.
