Attention, opera fans – Rigoletto is off the schedule of the 20th Verdi Festival!

The performance of Rigoletto is no longer in the schedule of this year’s Verdi Festival – due to technical reasons, the director of the Plovdiv Opera and Philharmonic Society, Georgi Dimitrov, reported.

The technical inspection had showed inability of the old stage covering to sustain the weight of the décor which is above 15 tons. It is extremely dangerous, as the stage directing has included constant moving of the décor onstage...
