BG Ski Resorts – open season!

The BG ski resort of Chepelare, up in the Rhodope Mountains, is this year’s popular spot for Bulgarian skiers. Long before the New Year’s Eve the resort was full up to the brim. Local hotel owners boasted that they have reservations through the spring but they say one could try to find lodgings after January 10^th. The Mechi Chal area has snow coverage of 25 cm and onloy 4 ski runs are working (total length of 6 km). Skidoos are available 90 BGN/hour but still not enough snow for that. Anyway, more snow is coming for the joy of tourists and hotel owners….
