March 5^th - 40^th anniversary of the death of Anna Ahmatova (1893-1966), Russian poetess
March 5^th - 150^th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Vrubel (1856-1910), Russian painter, graphic artist and illustrator.
March 6^th - 110^th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Obreshkov (1896-1963), BG mathematician, greatly contributed to development of BG mathematics
March 9^th - 80^th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Davidkov (1926-1990), BG poet and translator.
March 21^st - 135^th anniversary of the death of Dr Peter Beron (1800-1886), BG Revival period figure, doctor of medicine, author of the famous "Riben Boukvar" (The Fish Alphabet Book) that lay the foundations of the public education in Bulgaria during the period of Ottoman oppression.
