This year turns 63 years of the first day of battles of the first BG parachute team, formed in March 1943. The first commander of the team was appointed Captain Noev. In 1963, it was decided the day October 18th to be celebrated each year as the Day of the Military Parachutist , while in 1994 it was renamed as the Day of the BG Army Parachutist.
