Evgenia Radanova won the first medal for Bulgaria at the Torino Olympic Games

Our short track athlete Evgenia Radanova won the first medal for Bulgaria at the Torino Olympic Games. She won the silver medal of 500 m short track. She was so close to the triumph but succumbed to the winner, Chinese short track skater Men Wang. The Canadian Anouis Leblanc-Boucher got the bronze medal.

Evgenia Radanova waz the silver and bronze medal winner from the Salt Lake City winter games four years ago, and was the gold medal winner of 500 m (43.671 sec ? World record) in Calgary, Oct. 19th, 2001.
