Georgi Asparuhov – Gundi, is one of the legends of Bulgarian football. He was born on 4 May 1943 in Sofia. Gundi was 17-years old when he started his professional carrier, debuting for the team of Levski. From 1959 to 1971 he played 11 seasons on Gerena (Levski’s club stadium).

Gundi was Championship winner of Bulgaria for 3 times, and also won the Cup of Bulgaria twice. In 1965 he was chosen as the top football player in Bulgaria. In the same year Gundi was ranked 8th in the Golden ball chart.
