The preparation for the anniversary celebrations started las early as ast year with publishing the 12-page anniversary calendar "120 years of the Unification of Bulgaria" as well as one-page calendars. The bas-relief monument of Major Raicho Nikolov at the Dzhumayata Square, as well as other memorial plates, bas-reliefs and monuments connected to the Unification, were restored.
