Ivan Radoev was an eminent Bulgarian poet and playwright. He studied law in the Sofia University (1847-49) and then Bulgarian Language and Literature (1949-51). He worked as an editor in various newspapers and Bulgarian National TV; then as a playwright at the National Opera and several big-scale theters.

He was author of a parge number of plays and poetry books. Ivan Radoev died in 1994 at the age of 67.
