March 27th is celebrated each year arounf the world as the International Day of Theater. The first public address on the occasion of that day goes back to 1962 and its author was the famous Jean Cocteau. Theater has been an essential part of human life ever since the Ancient Greek theater...

Today, in our country, the day will be celebrated by handing out the IKAR (aka. Icarus) Awards for best theatrical performances. The ceremony will take place in the renovated hall of the National Opera.
