July 20th (Wednesday), the Meeting Hall of the Plovdiv Municipality will be the meeting place for a press conference, dedicated to the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria, September 6th, which is celebrated as the Plovdiv Feast Day. Mr.Stefan Shivachev, Director of the Plovdiv History Museum is going to be the press conference host.

Today is the Day of BG Diplomacy
July 5th 1879, Knjaz Alexander Battenberg issued a resolution appointing the first BG government after the Liberation of Bulgaria. The first BG diplomat to Turkey was Dragan Tsankov (the photo above), who was also a Prime Minister of BG in the period March-November 1880 and September 1883-June 1884.
