Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" was approved for the European Commission Culture Program project "Ancient Music and Musical Instruments. Orpheus' Lyre Restoration."

Italy and Spain are the other participants in the project. Plovdiv's part is recreation of Orpheus' lyre - the process includes the very creation of the instrument; and also writing, performing and recording the music played on it.
