Second rowing canal to be built in Plovdiv

Plovdiv will be hosting the 2011 European Rowing Championship , and in 2012 - the World one. One of the requirements of the World Rowing Federation is the construction of a second rowing canal to run parallel to the existing one, with length of 2 km, wirdth of 50 m, and 1.5 m depth.

The preliminary evaluation of the project amounts to 7 mln. BGN. The second canal will be used for warming-up of contestants.
