The festive events dedicated to the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria, September 6th, and official Day of Plovdiv, start tomorrow.

 

September 1st, Thursday:

 

  • 4.00 pm, the new building of the State Archive ? opening of a documentary exhibition of European mass media excerpts on the Unification of BG and the following Serbian-Bulgarian War
  • 10 am, the Exhibition Hall, 32 Gladstone Street ? opening of the 15x5 Exhibition

September 3rd ? 6th :

 

  • 9 am ? 7 pm, at the Stroitel Sports Hall ? indoor soccer tournament

September 4th:

 

  • 9.30 am, the city square of town of Suedinenie 30th International Memorial Marathon Suedinenie (i.e. Unification).
  • 7.30 pm ? Central Square, Plovdiv ? Avenue of Fashion
  • 8.00 pm ? Ancient Philipopolos Odeon ? the Eyrene Fashion Awards 2004=2005

September 5th:

 

  • 10 am - Central Square, Plovdiv ? Military armament and technologies display show
  • 8 pm - Central Square, Plovdiv ? the ?Iskri? (i.e. Sparkles) performance by the National Guard representatives
  • 9 pm ? the Ancient Theatre in the Old Town ? the Legend performance, set by Lili Ignatova

September 6th:

  • 9 am ? memorial service at the St Holy Mother Cathedral Church in the Old Town of Plovdiv
  • 9.30 am ? floral tributes to the monuments of Zachary Stoyanov and Mayor Raicho NIkolov
  • 11am ? Central Park ? National kinologic exhibition
  • 11 am ? Kroumovo Airport ? International Aviation Festival ?Sky for All?
  • 12 pm ? Stefan Stambolov square (outside the City Hall) ? concert of the Elika dance group
  • 4 pm - Stefan Stambolov square (outside the City Hall) ? concert of the BG Army Music and Dance Ensemble
  • 6 pm - Stefan Stambolov square (outside the City Hall) ? concert of the Kaffe pop-group
  • 7 pm ? Suedinenie Hall ? presentation of the Unification of BG 1885 historical album
  • 8.30 pm ? the Suedinenie square, Plovdiv ? army parade ceremony and firework celebration with VIP guests
