The eminent Bulgarian patriot, man of letters and public figure, Hristo G. Danov, died on that day back in 1911. We owe much to Danov, especially the printing of more than 1000 textbooks, school auxiliary books, scientific papers, literary works... Danov was also a Mayor of Plovdiv and a MP of Bulgaria's National Assembly.
