Kiril Naidenov was born on 23.05.1945 in the village of Slaviani. He has graduated sculpture at the University of Veliko Turnovo in 1972. From 1973 to 1979 he lived and worked in Pazardjik, Bourgas, Kostenets, Lovech, Oborishte, Peshtera and some other places. At that time he took part in nearly all national annual exhibitions.  In 1979 – 1980 he worked as director at the International Symposium of sculpture in Bourgas.

From 1981 to 1983 he worked in Paris. He was a member of the art Saloon “ Great and Young Today” in “Grand Palais”.  In 1983 he wins first prize in an international competition for a monument of the founder of the Republic of Catalunia - Fransisco Masia.

Since 1985 Kiril Naidenov had been living in Plovdiv. In 1988 he won first place for town-development of the central zone of Pomorie. At that time he also created the composition from stone and glass in the center of Lovech.

In 1993 he created the first sculpture of Jesus in Bulgaria, called “Ascension”, in front of the catholic church “St. Lyudvig” in Plovdiv. In 1994 he created the metal  composition “Bird” in the center of Prilep, Macedonia.  With his composition “Trinity” – 1993, Kiril Naidenov was one of the 30 artists recognised at the International Bianale in sculpture in Toyamura, Japan.

In the same year his project of a column – symbol of Izrael was approved by the town council of Jerusalem, but unfortunately it remains unrealized.  Works of Kiril Naidenov are having their place in the National Art Gallery, in the galleries in Pazardjik and Lovech, as well as in private collections in Berlin, Paris, Venice, Barcelona, Madrid, Plovdiv, Bourgas, Pazardjik, Lovech.

He died in Plovdiv on  10th of January  2004, after creating the much-talked-about statue of Philip of Macedon.
