For fourth time in a row the possible place where the monument to Tsar Simeon the Great will stand is being changed... The mayor's opinion was that the monument can be erected at the Dzhenden Tepe hill - and a comission including the Mayor, Slavcho Atanassov, the Municipality Chief Architect, Rumen Roussev, and the sculptor, Nikolay Savov, took a tour arounf the hill to choose the right spot. The hill is the highest point of the city - 284 m above the sea level...
Geological research is necessary to take place before the construction - also a couple of ministries will have to give thier approval, as the Plovdiv hills have a special status of natural and cultural preserved areas.
