The World Environment Day, June 5th, has been celebrated since 1973 in accordance with the resolution taken at the UN Conference on Environmental Problems, held in Stockholm, Sweden.A Declaration for the Environment - the first International agreement for the principles of ecological protection of the Earth - was adopted at this forum. Celebrating the 5th of June helps in focusing the attention of the World public to the environment, accentuates on the connection between Mankind and Nature, and gives an expression to the will and wish for an urgent necessity of changes in the relations and behaviour towards it.
