The representative of the Covenant of Mayors of Brussels Elodie Bosio will attend the Fifth National Conference of Bulgarian Energy Agencies "Switching to renewable energy sources for heating, electricity and fuels. The Forum will be held at Novotel Plovdiv today and tomorrow. Organized by the Association of Bulgarian energy agencies.
The main conference topics are: the utilization of biomass and solar energy - the way of successful local development, best practices for heating biomass, solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, liquid biofuels, innovative European projects of energy agencies.
Plovdiv will be presented by Deputy Mayor Gancho Kolaksazov, who will officially announce the accession of Plovdiv to the Covenant of Mayors. Plovdiv became the latest Bulgarian town, who signed the Covenant of Mayors, the European Commission to involve cities from across Europe to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2020
