Bulgaria Steamrolls Brazil 3-0

Bulgaria reached a historic success in their first match at the FIVB World League Finals in Moscow. The team of Martin Stoev steamrolled the world champions Brazil 3-0 in one hour and twelve minutes. This was the first loss for Brazil after fifty-one wins in the League. This win practically ensured Bulgaria's place in the semi finals. Today, Bulgaria will play against Serbia and Montenegro and tomorrow - against Italy.

"To beat the world champions 3-0 at the FIVB World league finals is an admirable feat. The Brazilians could not tell where they were and what was going on. They simply failed to find the rhythm of the match. Now, we shouldn't bother to calculated points, but rather we should focus on the games ahead of us. Our goal is to reach the final," said Yordan Lazarov, Director of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.
