Bulgaria signing the EU Accession Treaty

Quite an emotional ceremony of Bulgaria signing the EU Accession Treaty in Luxembourg yesterday, April 25th, 2005. At 6:33 p.m. the Bulgarian dream came true. The President Georgi Purvanov, the Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha, the Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, and the Minister of European Affairs Meglena Kuneva, responsible for the EU Accession, signed Bulgaria's EU Accession Treaty.

"I signed for the young generation," were Premier Saxe-Coburg Gotha's first words after initialing the document.
