English Scholarships for Bulgarian Students

European colleges compete for Bulgarian gifted students, teachers are trained abroad

Elite colleges in Europe and the USA compete for Bulgarian young talents. Private secondary schools offer scholarships and other preferential rights to Bulgarian schoolboys and girls. Representatives of schools from all over the world arrive tomorrow in Bulgaria and will organize interviews for higher and school students who want to study abroad. Prestigious Brook House College near Oxford (on the picture) allots scholarships for Bulgarians, reports Natasha Hristova from the intermediary Darbi Company. The scholarship the Bulgarian students can receive, accounts to about 9,000 pounds a year. The money covers half the expenses on tuition, books, food and accommodation, the other half has to be paid by students. Brook House College admits students at the age of 13 or 14 who will complete their secondary education in the College. Graduation from Brook House College guarantees admission to a university in England.
The College is situated close to Oxford and the students will be accommodated in nice residences among a park, with the opportunity to avail of tennis courts, a swimming pool and a football pitch.
Cyprus also recruits Bulgarian students. A college in Cyprus offers courses in Economics, Information Science and Arts and allots from 50 to 100% scholarship for applicants.
Bulgarian teachers are offered two weeks of free training in the UK. After successfully passing an exam they can start work in prestigious foreign schools. Teachers from smaller towns and schools are preferred.
