Discissuions are still going on in regards to the future monument to Tsar Simeon the Great that should be erected in our city - should the tsar be riding a horse or should he be sitting on his throne? Three art professors from the Union of Bulgarian Artists as well as representatives of the Union of the Architects will be included in the competition jury that will make their choice on the design of the most adequate monument.

The commission in charge with that project also include Plovdiv municipality representatives: Petia Gogova, also Galia Krasteva and Tsvetan Mumdzhiev (architects from "Ancient Plovdiv" Association) as well as other architects, lawyers and municipality employees.
