News from the 21st International Olympiad in Informatics
The twelve Bulgarian participants in the 21st International Olympiad in Informatics won 8 medals. Bulgaria participated with three teams, one of which consisted entirely of Plovdiv students.
309 students from 83 countries from 5 continents took part in the Olympiad. The winner this year, with 743 points out of 800 was the 14-year-old Genadii Karatskevich from Belarus - he has been the winner for four years in a row.
The next edition of the Olympiad will be hosted by the Waterloo University in Ontario, Canada.
