Plovdiv artist Angel Vassilev participating in art contest in Japan



The Plovdiv artist Angel Vassilev is the only Bulgarian invited to take part in the art contest dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Kobe, Japan. Angel Vassilev was born on September 29, 1947 in Plovdiv. He will participate in that contest with his painting "Wedding" that is going to be exhibitied in the large exhibition in prefecture Hego, Japan. The grand prix of the contest is 1 million Japanese yens.

8000 art works from all over the world have been chosen for the final round of the contest, when only 130 works will remain after the final selection. The condition for participation is the art work to have never been exhibited before and to be created within the last year...
