For the past 10 years foreign and BG companies built works and large facilities for over 500 million Euro in the Plovdiv and the area around it. ?Agri-Bulgaria?, ?Schell-Gas?, ?Liebherr? (the photo above), ?Bulsaphil? and ?Socotab? have become the face of the European investments in Bulgaria. The five companies have hired the total of 1600 people throughout the years, when the unemployment rate in BG was in the range of the 20%.
Last year the BG Varna-based pharmaceutical company based, ?Chaikapharm?, invested over 15 million Euro in building their pharmaceutical production plant on the boulevard between the Agriculture University and the METRO Store, thus leading the BG investments in the region?
