Plovdiv Mayor Slavcho Atanassov is handing out the first Environment & Landscaping Development Award - the winner this year is the Silviculture Association of the Scientific and Technological Unions in Plovdiv.

The special award is named after the creator of the park zones in Plovdiv, Lucien Schevalas, and will be handed out each year on Palm Sunday in front of Schevalas' monument in the Tsar Simeon garden int he center of Plovdiv.
