The original items of the Panagyurishte Treasure will be transported to Plovdiv guarded by special police forces. The Plovdiv Mayor Slavcho Atanassov has personally guaranteed that these items are exactly the originals.

After 36 years of being displayed in various countries all around the world, the unique gold vessels ae finally coming back to Plovdiv and will ve displayed in the central hall of the new building of the Plovdiv Archaeological Museum.

The official launch of the restored museum is scheduled for October 12, 2010. It now has 9 halls, one of which will host temporary exhibitions of the 100,000 exhibits that the museum currently has.

The remaining 8 halls will be displaying 5.000 exhibits.
