A special ward treating AIDS patients is going to open at the Division of Infectious Diseases at the St George University Clinic in Plovdiv. After Sofia and Varna, Plovdiv is going to be the third city running a anti-retro-viral therapy of HIV+ patients.
The equipment costs 82,000 BGN and has been funded by the Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria Fighting Global Fund. The ward is expected to be officially opened to function by the Health Deputy Minister, Valeri Tsekov.
