The dagger is perfectly preserved. According to Bozhidar Dimitrov, it is symbol of the Priest King. The Karlovo treasure is about 1000 years newer than the Varna treasure, the oldest found on the Balkans. However, it proves the link between the two civilizations. The sensational dagger was made of gold and platinum alloy. It is extremely delicate and is still sharp. Besides, there are no signs of decay although it has been buried for millennia.
